The Martyr Viyan Doran Academy concluded the Martyr Cicek Kobani course, which trained fighters on medium weaponry.
The academy, which included fighters from the Women’s Protection Units, concluded with military ceremonies and oath-taking.
Ruken Arjan, a leader in the Women’s Protection Units, participated in the ceremony and delivered a speech at the closing of the course. She said, “Today we celebrate the end of the training course named after Martyr Cicek Kobani for medium weaponry and dedicate it to leader Apo and all comrades. The training was deepened on ideological and military foundations, especially since we are now in July, the month in which we commemorate the anniversary of the Rojava Revolution. As a women’s military force, it is our duty to stand against all enemy attacks.”
Ruken Arjan also emphasized the role of the Women’s Protection Units fighters in these trainings.
After Ruken Arjan concluded her speech, the fighters chanted slogans, “No life without the leader, Women, Life, Freedom.”
The fighters who participated in the training expressed their enthusiasm and happiness during this period, saying, “We gained great strength in this academy. Both ideologically and militarily, our confidence has become stronger than before.”
The graduates of the training course expressed their ambitions for the next stage by saying, “Our goal is that no matter the attacks launched on our homeland and cities, we will stand against them with all our strength. We will work to develop, protect, and train all women to defend themselves against injustice.”
For this reason, we call on all young women to join the ranks of the Women’s Protection Units so that women can better understand themselves and their value. This is also possible by delving into the thoughts of leader Apo.
“As fighters in the Women’s Protection Units, we always need training to be able to protect ourselves in all aspects, our land, and our community, and to be leaders in all fields.”
The training course concluded with the fighters of the Women’s Protection Units forming dance circles to the tune of traditional songs.
