The fighter in the YPJ, Solin Afrin “We gained intellectual and ideological strength from this training, enabling us to defend all women and engage in an honorable struggle.”
During the interviews conducted with the trainee fighters at the Martyr Hebun Anteria Academy for ideological, military, and political training, Solin Afrin expressed her opinion about the training she received and the strength and morale she derived from it. She said, “We benefited greatly from the training. It developed our self-skills to the point where we could become self-reliant and powerful, instilling in us the readiness to engage in the struggle and play our roles in all arenas.”
Solin Afrin also mentioned in her speech the attacks on the regions of North and East Syria by the Turkish occupation, emphasizing her readiness both militarily and ideologically to repel these attacks. She added, “As a fighter in the Women’s Protection Units, I am fully prepared physically and intellectually, with determination and resolve, to fight the fascist Turkish occupation. My message to them is that they will not be able to undermine our determination or diminish the victories achieved since the beginning of the revolution.”
She concluded her speech by saying, “We will liberate the international leader Abdullah Öcalan and vow to avenge the blood of our honorable martyrs, following their path until our last breath.”
