The residents of Kobani mourned the passing of two of their heroic sons in the Martyr Dicle Cemetery.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thousands of residents in the city of Kobani participated in the funeral procession for the fighter in the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), Nod\u00eam Wan, and the fighter in the People’s Defense Forces (YPG), Rezk\u00e2r Caff Resh, with solemn ceremonies. The ceremonies began with a minute of silence to honor the martyrs’ souls. During the proceedings, Sarah Khalil, on behalf of the Women’s Council in the Euphrates region for the Democratic Union Party (PYD), delivered a speech, saying: ‘First, we express our condolences to the families of the martyrs Nod\u00eam Wan and Rezk\u00e2r Caff Resh.’ In the person of the martyr Nod\u00eam, the stance of the free and heroic woman was embodied. The martyr Nod\u00eam fought for her people every moment of her life. She exerted tremendous effort to showcase the reality of resistance to the world when she appeared in the film Kobani.The martyr Nod\u00eam was a pioneer for women and the Rojava revolution.”<\/p>\n

Sarah Khalil also mentioned in her speech, “The martyr Rezk\u00e2r Caff Resh fought against the fascism of the Turkish state until his last drop of pure blood and sacrificed himself for the freedom of the homeland while still in the prime of his youth.”
\nMohammed Bouzi also delivered a speech on behalf of the Social Committee, saying, “We offer our condolences to the families of the martyrs.” He then continued his speech, stating, “The martyr Nod\u00eam stood against global terrorism as a resilient woman, choosing the path of women’s freedom. Similarly, the martyr Rezk\u00e2r bravely fought in the free mountains and resisted the enemy with great courage.”<\/p>\n

In conclusion, Mohammed Bouzi added, “As the Kurdish people, if we are not united, we will all go one after the other.” At the end of the ceremony, the documents of the martyrs Nod\u00eam Wan and Rezk\u00e2r Caff Resh were read, and they were handed over to their families. The heroes of the nation were commemorated with slogans like “Martyrs are immortal.”<\/p>\n
