Our comrade, Tol\u00een Bel\u015f\u00een Baz, who sustained severe injuries from an attack by the Turkish occupying state, has reached the rank of martyrdom despite all medical efforts. We honor the pure spirit of our fighter, Tol\u00een Bel\u015f\u00een, with gratitude and extend our condolences to her family, our nation, and her comrades in the struggle. We renew our commitment and vow to our martyrs.<\/p>\n

Our revolution in Western Kurdistan has consistently achieved honorable successes at every step of its struggle. Thanks to the sacrifices of our martyrs and the heroes of this land, our revolution has proven itself from all sides over the past years. Today, especially for women and young people, this revolution has become a place of strength, faith, willpower, and success. On this basis, thousands of women and young people from all nations have joined the revolution, becoming drops in the river of resistance and struggle against occupation and oppression. To counter this revolution\u2014particularly to suppress the women’s revolution and struggle\u2014the Turkish occupying state and all fascist forces continue to launch concrete and ruthless attacks.<\/p>\n

On September 25, 2024, our comrade Amina Ahmed, known as Tol\u00een Bel\u015f\u00een Baz, sustained severe injuries due to a bombardment by the occupying Turkish state while performing her duty on the frontlines in \u2018Awn Dadat in Manbij. Comrade Tol\u00een Bel\u015f\u00een Baz remained hospitalized for nearly a month, but despite all interventions, reached martyrdom on October 27, 2024.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Comrade Tol\u00een was born in Kobani to a patriotic family rooted in revolutionary values. She grew up hearing the stories of the heroes of this land, which led her to understand the struggle. While studying in Ba’athist schools, she became aware of the racist policies imposed against the Kurdish people and vowed to fight these policies. The ongoing attacks on the Rojava Revolution fueled her determination. On this basis, she joined the ranks of freedom in 2021.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

During her journey in the ranks of freedom, Martyr Tol\u00een read about the leader with unparalleled interest, love, and passion. By getting to know the leader, she cultivated within herself the character of a revolutionary young woman. She also became one of the unwavering followers on the path of self-sacrifice, inspired by the eternal pioneers and martyrs like her uncle Baz. Through these beliefs, she portrayed the character of a dedicated, modest, and ethical female fighter among her comrades. Driven by her comradeship spirit, she took initiative in youth activities and became one of the examples of rebellious and courageous women. Finally, she took her place in the independent units of the Women’s Protection Units, immersing herself in the principles of free womanhood and actively engaging in the struggle.<\/p>\n

As the Women\u2019s Protection Units (YPJ), we commemorate all the martyrs of the revolution through the memory of Comrade Tol\u00een Baz, expressing our deepest gratitude. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her beloved family, our comrades in struggle, and all our people. As comrades of Tol\u00een, we pledge to avenge the martyrs and elevate the struggle for freedom. We will remain committed to achieving success and fulfilling the dreams of our martyred comrades.<\/p>\n
