{"id":21576,"date":"2025-03-06T20:30:03","date_gmt":"2025-03-06T20:30:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ypjrojava.net\/en\/?p=21576"},"modified":"2025-03-06T20:30:03","modified_gmt":"2025-03-06T20:30:03","slug":"feminist-organizations-visit-the-womens-protection-units-on-the-occasion-of-international-womens-day-march-8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ypjrojava.net\/en\/?p=21576","title":{"rendered":"Feminist Organizations Visit the Women\u2019s Protection Units on the Occasion of International Women\u2019s Day, March 8"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A delegation from political parties and feminist organizations in North and East Syria visited the Women\u2019s Protection Units (YPJ) on the occasion of International Women\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n<p>The delegation consisted of representatives from Kongra Star, the Women\u2019s Council of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), the Women\u2019s Council of the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM), and the Women\u2019s Organization of the Kurdish Progressive Democratic Party in Syria, who extended their congratulations to the Women\u2019s Protection Units.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the visit, members of the Kongra Star Coordination in Hasakah Canton, Nahed Sheikh Suleiman, Siham Um Ali, and Alaa Ibrahim, along with representatives from Kongra Star Committees, the Women\u2019s Council of the PYD, the Women\u2019s Council of TEV-DEM, and other feminist organizations, congratulated the General Command of the Women\u2019s Protection Units on this occasion, honoring the struggles of working women around the world.<\/p>\n<p>The delegation was received by the General Command of the Women\u2019s Protection Units, represented by Rohilat Afrin, the official spokesperson of the YPJ, Roksan Mohammed, and Kurdistan Kojar, a member of the YPJ Military Council.<\/p>\n<p>At the beginning of the meeting, the delegation was welcomed, followed by discussions on the significance of March 8 and the importance of unified struggle. Additionally, the General Coordinator of Kongra Star, Siham Um Ali, presented a symbolic gift\u2014an artwork\u2014to the General Command of the YPJ in celebration of International Women\u2019s Struggle Day.<\/p>\n<p>The visit was marked by a high sense of morale and engaging discussions.
