Raqqa \u2014 The city of resilience and life that ended the darkness of terrorism through the triumph of willpower celebrated today the eighth anniversary of its liberation, remaining a symbol of hope and renewal in the heart of Syria.<\/p>\n

Today, the city of Raqqa commemorates the eighth anniversary of its liberation \u2014 an occasion that embodies the struggle and steadfastness of the region\u2019s people in confronting the darkness and terrorism that plagued the city for many years. On this day, a large Toran(gathering) brought together the Women\u2019s Protection Units (YPJ), the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the Internal Security Forces (Asayish), and several military vehicles, reaffirming once again the strength of unity and solidarity in the face of challenges.<\/p>\n

At Al-Buzran Square, Comrade Jamil, a commander in the Syrian Democratic Forces, delivered a heartfelt speech in which he spoke about the stages of Raqqa\u2019s liberation from the ISIS terrorist organization. Jamil emphasized that the victory was not an easy journey but a grueling battle fought with courage and dedication by all participating forces \u2014 particularly the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Women\u2019s Protection Units, which were the cornerstone in defending civilians and liberating neighborhoods.<\/p>\n

He also pointed out the importance of maintaining clear distinction among the various units and factions during the battle, as each force had its specific role. This precise organization, he said, played a major part in the success of the operation. Jamil explained that the cooperation between the SDF, the YPJ, and the Asayish stood as a model of military and humanitarian coordination, which greatly accelerated the city\u2019s liberation and ensured its complete security.<\/p>\n

Representatives of several other institutions that contributed to the liberation process also spoke, praising the significant role played by civil and humanitarian organizations in providing logistical and humanitarian support to the freed residents \u2014 efforts that helped restore life gradually to the city.<\/p>\n

At the conclusion of the event, it was affirmed that the anniversary of Raqqa\u2019s liberation is not merely an occasion for celebration, but a constant reminder of the need to preserve the achievements and work together for a safer and more stable future.
