In this war, all advanced military techniques were employed against two resisting areas that have become a source of pride for the people in the history of humanity. Women and children, including our people and our fighters, were subjected to numerous war crimes.

In the face of thousands of criminal gangs, the fighters Deniz, Dilbrîn, Feraşîn, Hawar, and Rojbîn became immortal heroes etched in memory. In this existential war, the two martyrs, Leyla Qasim and Guerilla Amara, also became heroes of this epic through their resistance.

Throughout history, women have always stood as role models through their courageous stances and self-confidence. Our comrades Leyla Qasim and Guerilla Amara preserved the legacy of the martyrs through their struggle. Thanks to this resistance, Kurdish women today have earned the respect of the world. We extend our deepest condolences to the founder of the philosophy of a free life, Leader Abdullah Öcalan, to the families of our dear comrades and patriots, and to our freedom-loving people. We bow in reverence before these great martyrs.

Our comrade Leyla Qasim was born in Tel Abyad and belongs to the patriotic Okhi tribe. Like thousands of youth in Rojava, Leyla witnessed the emergence of the Rojava and North and East Syria Revolution. Through their tireless work in the revolution, the noble family of our comrade Leyla Qasim upheld the values of deep-rooted national traditions. For this reason, they resisted and defended their honor against all forms of attacks launched by the fascist Turkish state and its gangs.

Like thousands of residents of Tel Abyad and Serekanîyê, our comrade and her family were forced to seek refuge in Kobani and the Jazira region due to the fascist Turkish state’s attacks. Our comrade realized that she must transform her anger into struggle and respond to the enemy in kind. The brutal reality of the enemy, which we have all repeatedly witnessed, left a profound impact on her character. This anger toward the enemy evolved into an awareness of the enemy and a deep understanding of the reality of her people—a people possessing a resilient culture.

On this basis, and in the face of all forms of denial, and in response to the reality of women and the components of the region, she decided in 2023 to join the ranks of the struggle. That same year, she successfully completed her basic training and immersed herself in the philosophy of Leader Abdullah Öcalan and the line of the Free Woman, becoming a fighter who knew how to live.

During the battles in Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh, our comrade Leyla took her place on the front lines with high morale. From the first day of the war, she assumed initiative within her unit and delivered painful blows to the occupying gangs using modern tactics. She was a skilled sniper, and through her mastery of her weapon, she spread fear among the enemy and neutralized many gangs in this manner. With her resolute stance, she became an unparalleled fighter, successfully carrying out every mission entrusted to her.

She possessed sharp intelligence that recognized no obstacles; with Comrade Leyla, nothing was impossible despite all difficulties. Leyla Qasim was not only a name—she embodied the steadfastness of Leyla Qasim in her character. She resisted the bloodthirsty enemy with all her strength from the beginning of the war until its end. Ultimately, the enemy resorted to advanced military techniques, and our comrade was martyred as a result of a drone strike in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood on January 06 , 2026.

Our comrade Guerilla Amara was born in the city of Kobani, into the Kurdish Asi tribe, and became familiar with the liberation movement at a young age. During ISIS attacks on Kobani in 2014, she, like thousands of Kobani residents, migrated to Northern Kurdistan. Following the invasion attacks on Manbij and the Martyrs’ Dam, she decided to join the ranks of the movement in 2025. After completing her training, she headed to the stronghold of resistance in Aleppo, where she engaged for a period in fieldwork and activities.

Her passion for life was extraordinarily strong. Throughout her life and struggle, she never compromised her resistant stance and became a role model for a purposeful life and great heroism. She was eager to learn everything with enthusiasm and high morale, aspiring to become a true leader. Through her strong sense of comradeship, she became a source of inspiration for all communities. She courageously overcame all obstacles.

As the fascist enemy attacked our two regions, our comrade Guerilla assumed leadership of her unit alongside her comrades. In the heat of battle, she confronted the enemy using individual weapons and diverse tactics. Despite all the enemy’s outcries, our comrade Guerilla upheld the history of human freedom. She followed the sacrifices of figures such as Arîn Mîrkan and Avesta Khabur and sought to embody in her own character the philosophy of Leader Abdullah Öcalan—“Woman, Life, Freedom”—which has resonated widely across the world, becoming a decisive response in the heart of the enemy against all forms of attacks by the ruling system.

Our comrade, like all our comrades who led the battle of Aleppo, declared her resistance and fought until her last bullet, detonating her last grenade to prevent falling in the hands of the enemy on January 10, 2026, in her last confrontation. Thus, she became a symbol of women’s glory throughout the world.

Our comrades Leyla Qasim and Guerilla Amara, along with Ziyad, Deniz, Dilbrîn, Feraşîn, Hawar, and Rojbîn, were pioneers of a free life through their devoted spirits. We pledge to our dear comrades and to the beloved people of this land that we will never retreat from our goal of building a free future. The resistance of these comrades will remain a guiding light for our lives and our struggle. We will fight relentlessly until the freedom of our Leader and our people is achieved. Once again, we bow in reverence to these heroes and extend our deepest condolences to all our patriotic and resisting people. ‎

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone
