{"id":23832,"date":"2026-08-04T12:18:47","date_gmt":"2026-08-04T12:18:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ypjrojava.net\/en\/?p=23832"},"modified":"2026-08-04T12:18:47","modified_gmt":"2026-08-04T12:18:47","slug":"statement-issued-by-the-womens-protection-units-ypj-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ypjrojava.net\/en\/?p=23832","title":{"rendered":"Statement Issued by the Women&#8217;s Protection Units (YPJ)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Within the framework of the 29 January 2026 Agreement, our negotiations, as the Women&#8217;s Protection Units (YPJ), with Damascus are continuing.<\/p>\n<p>In April, we held a meeting with Minister of Defense Murhaf Abu Qasra, during which we also submitted a written draft outlining our vision and proposals.<\/p>\n<p>To this day, we have not been informed of any official proposal or decision by the authorities in Damascus.<\/p>\n<p>There are proposals for the Women&#8217;s Protection Units (YPJ) to join the Ministry of Interior as an independent force dedicated to combating terrorism.
