On 26 August, the General Command of the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) held a meeting with an official delegation from the Ministry of Interior of the transitional government in Damascus.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, issues of security and stability in Syria, as well as the future of cooperation and coordination between the two sides, were discussed extensively.<\/p>\n
The future of the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) was the main focus of the meeting. It was emphasized that the YPJ could be integrated, as a distinct and organized force, into the structure of the Ministry of Interior.<\/p>\n
The meeting was held in a positive and constructive atmosphere. In order to complete and finalize the integration process within the framework of the 29 January 2026 Agreement, our meetings and discussions will continue.<\/p>\n
