
A funeral ceremony was held in the city of Kobani for two martyrs, along with symbolic ceremonies for eight other martyrs from the People’s Protection Units (YPG), the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), and the Internal Security Forces. Participants affirmed their commitment to following in the footsteps of the martyrs until victory is achieved.
Today, at the Martyr Dijla Shrine in Kobani, funeral ceremonies were held for the bodies of Internal Security Forces member Nayif (real name: Nayif Ali), who was martyred on February 3, and YPG fighter Karker Andok. In addition, symbolic ceremonies were held for YPG fighters Mordem Kri Spî (real name: Ishaq Ahmad), martyred on January 18 in Deir Hafir; Mahmoud Kobani (real name: Mahmoud Bakir), martyred on January 26 in the village of Mili; Sherfan Serêkaniyê (real name: Suleiman Al-Mohammad), martyred on January 18 in Deir ez-Zor; Hami Tifsho (real name: Ahmad Haji), martyred on January 5 in Qamishlo; Kamal Qoser (real name: Farid Abi), martyred on January 26 in the village of Jilbiyeh; Mazloum Kobani (real name: Mahmoud Saleh Muslim), martyred on January 18 in Deir ez-Zor; Commando Forces fighter Dmahat (Hussein Sheikho), martyred on January 3; and Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) fighter Mizgîn Jiyan (real name: Shukran Yildiz), who was martyred on January 26 in the village of Mili.
