The Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) are not merely a military force; they are also a symbol of women’s will and struggle. Accordingly, extensive discussions are ongoing regarding the details of their participation and their role within the new structure, on the basis of safeguarding women’s identity, experience, and achievements.
We, the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), affirm that our fundamental approach at every step is to protect our people’s achievements and women’s legitimate rights. The outcomes of these discussions will be communicated clearly to the public in the coming period.
