For this reason, the resistance of our people must be understood worldwide as part of the global quest for freedom.

Today, our grief is profound, and the fire in our eyes burns fiercely. As we walk the path of our comrade Nureddin Sufi—one of the most noble, intelligent, and courageous fighters and leaders for freedom in the worldthis day is also a day to keep his thoughts and struggle alive forever. He was not merely a fighter, but a friend to the freedom of his people and one of the strongest leaders in the struggle. His name and steps are etched into the memory of our land like mountains. For him, leadership was not only a military duty, but an art of protecting human dignity and liberating the future of the people. Every step he took as a leader was not just a tactical move, but a mark of freedom recorded in history. Every operation was for the honor of the people; every battle was an open door to their future.
His approach to women’s liberation was among his greatest virtues and what distinguished him from others. He saw female fighters not only as comrades-in-arms, but as pioneers of a free society. He always treated the Women’s Defense Forces with trust and empowerment. There was a spark of belief in his eyes, and he understood that without the liberation of women, humanity could never be free.
We know his dreams were never faint, for they were etched into the hearts of his comrades and his people. To us, Comrade Nureddin was not merely a friendhe was an ally, a teacher, and a guide. His approach to women’s liberation immortalized his image in our eyes. He treated female fighters as equalsnot only on the battlefield, but in thought and will. He recognized that women’s struggle against ISIS was not merely a military revolution, but also an ideological one. He lived by the principle: “This land will not be free until women are free.”

In the face of this darkness, Comrade Nureddin Sufi was a light defending the honor of nations.

His leadership against ISIS was not only a military triumph, but also a glorious chapter in human history. He earned a place not only among the ranks of the army, but also in the hearts of the people. He built bridges of trust and unity among different peoples, and reinforced a shared hope for freedom for allArabs, Kurds, Turkmens, Assyrians, and Armenians. Every operation under his command was a blow to barbarism and a victory for the people.
Today, we know that he was not only a commander, but also the bearer of an ideologyan ideology of equality among peoples, of women’s freedom, and of life without oppression. His martyrdom is not the end for us; it is the beginning of a stronger, more determined phase. As the Women’s Protection Units, we will continue with even greater determination the tactics, faith, and courage he taught us.
