Every chapter in our long history of the struggle for freedom has been nourished by the immense efforts and extraordinary sacrifices of our heroes, among them Martyr Xemlîn Delbrîn. Today, as we continue to follow the path of our great martyr, who dedicated her life to the philosophy of free life, we remember her with profound respect and gratitude, while renewing our pledge of loyalty to all the martyrs of the revolution and freedom.
We extend our deepest condolences to the Leader of Free Life, Leader Abdullah Öcalan, and to the esteemed family of our comrade.
Ferîde Welo, known by her nom de guerre Xemlîn Delbrîn, was not merely a fighter for freedom, but also a symbol of dignity, resistance, and unwavering devotion to her land and her people. She illuminated our path with her constant smile, her heart filled with love for her homeland, and her unshakable determination. The wound she carried in her heart was not simply a personal sorrow; it reflected a steadfast will, a profound anger toward injustice, and an enduring love for a free life.
Martyr Xemlîn analyzed the reality of our occupied homeland through deep ideological awareness, firmly believing that freedom can only be achieved through fundamental struggle. She was not only a fighter confronting fascism, but also a committed advocate for building the free individual and a free life. She developed a profound understanding of the capitalist system and the principles of democratic modernity, dedicating her life to contributing to the construction of an ethical and democratic society.
Martyr Xemlîn lived every moment of her life according to ideological principles, the spirit of self-sacrifice, and military discipline. Her character embodied the image of the free individual who had rebuilt herself through struggle. She stood as an example in confronting surrender and retreat, while the determination reflected in her eyes remained a renewed pledge to build a free homeland founded upon equality.
On 14 March 2023, Martyr Xemlîn Delbrîn attained martyrdom in the Tishrin Dam area as a result of a military incident.
The banner of freedom raised by Martyr Xemlîn and her comrades will continue to fly high until victory is achieved. Their lives and philosophy of resistance will remain a guiding light on our path. We will protect every inch of this sacred land, watered by the blood of the martyrs.
We once again extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of our beloved comrade, to our patriotic people, and to all those who shared her path of struggle. We remain committed to preserving the revolutionary values, the spirit of self-sacrifice, and the philosophy of free life that Comrade Xemlîn embodied throughout her life. We will not pause for a single moment until we fulfill the dreams of our martyrs: to see the Leader free and to achieve a life founded on freedom and justice.
