YPJ Female Fighters at the Condolence Tents for Guerrilla Martyrs

In these blessed yet painful days, the female fighters of the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), filled with immense pride and a deep, unbreakable bond with the memory of the martyrs, are heading to the condolence tents. They participate with unmatched, proud eyes in the memorial ceremonies held to honor the heroes of the People’s Defense Forces (HPG) and Free Women’s Units (YJA STAR).

When the daughters of Rojava and the YPJ fighters enter the condolence tent, they perform an honorable military salute and bow before the families and comrades of the martyrs. They have proven that while their attire may differ, their hearts, goals, and vows are one. In their eyes, there is not only sorrow, but a pledge for revenge and the expansion of the struggle.

Amidst chants of “Martyrs Never Die” and the ululations of mothers, the condolence tents transform into places for renewing the covenant of freedom. There, the blood shed in the mountains and the blood protected in the cities become one, laying the foundation for the victory of the Kurdish people.
