Kobanê – Rojin Mohammad, a founding member of the Martyrs’ Families Foundation in Kobanê, expressed her dismay at the attacks targeting images of martyrs in Hasakah, stating, “We will not accept such immoral acts.”
Rojin Mohammad explained that, for several days, certain groups have been systematically spreading chaos in the al-Khuwairan neighbourhood of Hasakah and attacking images of the martyrs.
“This Is an Attack on All Peoples”
Speaking about the attacks, Rojin Mohammad said: “These martyrs sacrificed their lives for the freedom of Syrian soil and to protect all peoples from massacres. Attacking their images is not an attack on their families alone; it is an attack on all our values. This is a clear violation of the law.”
“The Aim Is to Derail the Integration Process”
Mohammad pointed out that the aim of these attacks is to undermine the integration process in Syria. She continued: “This chaos and recklessness will not allow Syria to achieve integration or reach a positive outcome. On the contrary, these acts are an attempt to obstruct the integration process. The Syrian state must take notice of these attacks, put an end to these acts of sabotage, and hold those responsible accountable.”
“We Will Continue on Their Path”
Rojin Mohammad concluded her message by saying: “A democratic and free Syria must be built through the joint efforts of all its components. As mothers, we say that we will remain committed to the path of our martyrs until the very end. Martyrs never die.”
