The Internal Security Forces, the Women’s Internal Security Forces, and the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), with the support of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the International Coalition, announce the conclusion of the new phase of the “Humanity and Security” operation in al-Hol Camp.
This phase came as an extension of our ongoing efforts to confront the threat of ISIS sleeper cells, which in recent months have sought to destabilize security inside the camp and target civilians as well as humanitarian workers.
- The campaign has achieved significant results, most notably:
- Dismantling active terrorist networks operating inside the camp.
- Arresting 11 individuals affiliated with ISIS.
- Foiling several attempts to target service and humanitarian facilities.
Conducting special night operations against terrorist hideouts, which resulted in the destruction of dangerous cells that were planning attacks against our forces, while also limiting the movements of terrorist cells inside and around the camp.
The operation also contributed to strengthening coordination with humanitarian organizations, ensuring the continuation of their missions in safety, and providing a more stable environment for the camp’s residents.
We affirm that the support of the Syrian Democratic Forces and our partners in the International Coalition has had a decisive impact on the progress achieved in the “Humanity and Security” operation. We reiterate that our battle against terrorism is ongoing, and that protecting civilians and meeting their humanitarian needs will remain at the core of our priorities, until ISIS’s attempts to re-emerge and revive its extremist ideology are completely eliminated.
Glory to our people and the steadfastness of our forces
