Avesta Khabur left her heroic mark on the historical resistance of Afrin.
On the occasion of the anniversary of the martyrdom of the freedom fighter Avesta Khabur on January 27, 2018, we bow in reverence to the pure souls of all martyrs of freedom. We declare that the resistances initiated by our heroic comrades have been written on the pages of history, intertwining with the resilient soil of Afrin. Generations will grow up with the stories of these heroic acts, and the banner of resistance will remain unwavering over the city of olives.
Avesta Khabur, through her sacrifice, courage, and love for her people and homeland, once again affirmed that women stand strong against occupation and cannot retreat from achieving their goals. She proved that the strength of women, coupled with their deep connection to national values and their embodiment of the revolutionary spirit, makes them resolute enough to conquer the enemy, no matter how powerful.
On this eternal anniversary, we extend condolences to the families of our noble martyrs, vowing to avenge their pure blood, achieve their goals, walk firmly in their footsteps, and embody what they built in both war and life. Afrin is free and will remain so, standing proud as long as there are children like Avesta Khabur, Barin Kobani, Ilan, and many other heroic comrades who fought relentlessly against the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.
Avesta Khabur remains a symbol of the free, martyred woman and will continue to be an inspiring example.
