To the media and the public,

To the media and the public,

Our Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) have carried out a series of operations across the northern and eastern regions of Syria, within their right to defend themselves and avenge their martyrs, including the wounded commanders Surkhoyen Rojhilat and Azadi Derik. These operations targeted the bases and positions of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.

On February 12th, our fighters conducted a raid on the village of Alhamrat in the Saida front, where the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries, the Euphrates Shield, are stationed northwest of Manbij province. Our fighters successfully executed the operation by attacking the enemy’s positions from two axes. As a result, the Turkish occupation base was completely destroyed, forcing the occupation soldiers and their mercenaries to abandon their positions and flee. In the process, our forces managed to kill 3 mercenaries inside the barracks, while another 3 were killed by our fighters as they attempted to escape. Our fighters also retrieved the bodies of 3 mercenaries. This operation resulted in the killing of 6 mercenaries and the injury of 3 others who fled.

On the same date, February 12th, at 8:00 a.m., our fighters of the Women’s Protection Units carried out a successful operation against the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries on the Tal- Tamr,Silos High front, between the villages of Al-Rihaneya and Al-Sousa. Our fighters inflicted a heavy blow to the Turkish occupation army base with heavy weapons, resulting in the killing of 3 Turkish occupation soldiers and the injury of several others.

As a result of these successful operations, 9 soldiers and mercenaries belonging to the Turkish occupation state were killed, and at least 8 mercenaries and Turkish occupation soldiers were injured.

As Women’s Protection Units, we have pledged to our people and all women that we will not let the blood of our martyrs go unavenged, and that the hostile attacks of the Turkish occupation will not go unpunished. We reiterate that the Women’s Protection Units are the retaliatory force of the era. We will demand accountability from the occupation and will not hesitate to respond appropriately to all forms of occupation and attacks against humanity at all times. Until we build a free and secure future, we will continue our struggle for freedom.
