“As a Fighter in The Women’s Protection Units, I See That Protecting The Homeland, The People, And Women is a Fundamental Duty.”

The fighter from the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), Perwin Halab, who is part of the Martyr Rojda Manbij Academy for new fighters, speaks about the impact of the training on her personality.

Perwin Halab is undergoing the new fighters’ training at the Martyr Rojda Manbij Academy, in the Martyr Nujin Ocalan course, and shares her thoughts on this training: “What allowed me to join the ranks of the Women’s Protection Units with my will and mindset is the ability to possess strength, willpower, and opinions as an Arab woman. We received many important training sessions at this academy, and through this training, I promise that I will be able to protect myself and all women. I will also fight with all the intellectual and physical strength I have against the enemy who wants to ruin our revolutionary struggle, and I will not allow that. As a woman, I consider my main duty to be protecting the homeland, the people, and women from occupation and slavery.”

In her speech, Perwin Halab warned women, saying: “To have free will and the right to live and express our opinions, Leader APO has shown us the path of freedom and struggle. Therefore, every woman must possess this and develop herself by reading guidebooks. Many issues have been imposed on us in society and tribes that oppress us and distance us from existence. To save myself from this, I joined the ranks of the Women’s Protection Units. We are the Women’s Protection Units, and we must not allow any enforcement upon us.”

In conclusion, Perwin Halab wishes victory for her comrades and sends them this message: “Our unity on this path will ensure freedom.”
