The People of Rojava Continue Marching Behind Their Women Fighters in Loyalty to the Gains of the Women’s Revolution

As part of a campaign addressing violations of women’s rights in the “New Syria,” and within the framework of the International Women’s Day program on March 8 — announced on February 18 by the Coordination Activities Platform of the Rojava Women’s Movement and Organizations — a march was organized in Qamishlo at the initiative of Kongra Star in support of the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) and the achievements of the women’s revolution in Rojava.

The city of Qamishlo witnessed the launch of a mass march organized by Kongra Star under the slogan “Women Protect the Rojava Revolution.” The event saw broad participation from women and young women, reaffirming their commitment to safeguarding the achievements of the women’s revolution in Rojava and expressing support for the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ).

The march began at Osman Sabri Roundabout, where participants raised banners emphasizing the necessity of protecting the gains of the women’s revolution and ensuring Syrian women’s rights within the constitution. They also underscored the vital role of women in the region’s ongoing political and social transformations.

Kongra Star Organizes Mass March in Al-Hasakah in Support of the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ)

Kongra Star organized a mass march in the city of Al-Hasakah in support of the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), with the participation of hundreds of women from the cities of Al-Darbasiyah and Tal Tamr, as well as Washokani Camp, alongside members of local councils and civil institutions.

Participants carried banners reading, “The braids of Kurdish women are a source of strength” and “Women protect the Rojava Revolution,” in addition to raising the flags of Kongra Star and the Women’s Protection Units, while chanting the slogan, “Woman, Life, Freedom.”

YPJ commander Roksan Mohammed and representatives of the People’s Protection Units (YPG) also took part in the march.
