YPJ Fighter Extends March 8 Greetings to Women

From the frontlines of resistance, a fighter of the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) Comrade Jan Roja, extended her congratulations to all women in Rojava and around the world on the occasion of International Women’s Day, marked on March 8. She emphasized that this day represents a historic and significant occasion for every woman striving for freedom and dignity.

On this occasion, Comrade Jan Roja also conveyed her greetings to Leader Apo and to all martyrs, noting that the achievements attained by women are the result of the leader’s thought and the sacrifices of the martyrs who paved the path to freedom with their blood.

In her statement, Jan Roja highlighted the pioneering role of the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), stressing that the force stood at the forefront of the struggle that contributed to the defeat of the terrorist organization Islamic State and the breaking of the darkness it sought to impose on the peoples of the region, particularly on women.

The YPJ fighter also addressed women across the world and the international public, stressing that the Women’s Protection Units will remain committed to the path of struggle and will not allow the blood of their fallen fighters to be shed in vain. Instead, they will continue the path of resistance until a free and dignified life is achieved for all women and a society based on justice and equality among all its components is built.

Jan Roja concluded her message by saluting every woman engaged in struggle and the mothers of the martyrs, affirming that March 8 will remain a symbol of women’s resilience and resistance in the face of oppression and tyranny.
