
From the city of resistance, Kobani, Comrade Surkhin Salmi of the Core Protection Forces extended her congratulations to all women on the occasion of March 8, International Women’s Day, emphasizing that this day represents a day of struggle, determination, and resilience for women in the face of all forms of oppression and tyranny.
Comrade Surkhin Salmi also conveyed her greetings to Leader Apo and paid tribute to the martyrs of freedom—women and men— who sacrificed their lives for the dignity of women and the freedom of society. She noted that the achievements women have attained today are the result of the sacrifices of the martyrs and a long path of resistance.
In her message, she stated that women in Kobani and across all areas of resistance have proven to the world that they are a model of courage and dedication. She added that March 8 is an occasion to renew the pledge to continue the struggle until freedom and full equality are achieved.
Comrade Surkhin Salmi concluded her message by affirming that the Core Protection Forces will remain a shield for women’s dignity and freedom. She also extended her greetings to every woman in struggle, every mother of a martyr, and every comrade who carries the banner of resistance for a future defined by justice and peace.
