Hundreds of people in the city of al-Hassakah attended the funeral ceremony of four martyrs of the Women’s Protection Units: Afshin Judy, Berivan Abdi Khalaf, Hiba Bakr and Amina Suleiman, who were martyred while performing their revolutionary missions. On 27 July, a Turkish drone killed, Wa’ad Ali Khalouf on the road to Qamishlo, where she was also buried in solemn ceremonies that were held in the cemetery of Martyr Dijwar Hasakah.
Hundreds of people in al- Hassakah joined the ceremonies, which began with a minute of silence as a tribute to the souls of the martyrs. On behalf of the leadership of the Women’s Protection Units, Commander Ravin Kobani delivered a speech, which said: “Our martyrs ensure our survival. No matter how much we talk about the martyrs, we will not be able to give them the respect they deserve. No word can express the meaning of martyrdom. Our martyrs created the revolution. We express our deep condolences to the families of martyrs.
At the end of the ceremony, the documents of the martyrs were read and handed over to their families. The bodies of the martyrs were buried in the midst of chants of respect and honor for the martyrs.
