Women’s organizations in northern and eastern Syria organize a forum to support the women of Şengal and Afghanistan

In the presence of the leaders of the Women’s Protection Units, women’s organizations in northern and eastern Syria organized a symposium to support the women of Şengal and Afghanistan under the slogan “In response to the genocide of women … we build a free life.”
As part of the campaign to support the women of Şengal and Afghanistan, the activities of the Women’s Forum for North and East Syria were launched today at Al-Sharq University in the city of Raqqa. The forum was attended by a number of leaders and fighters of the Women’s Protection Units and representatives of civil women’s institutions and councils in northern and eastern Syria, in addition to civil society organizations.
In the beginning, a minute of silence took place in honor of the souls of the martyrs, then the leadership in the Women’s Protection Units, Zinarin Qamishlo, gave the opening speech, in which she said: At the beginning, we bow before the memory of the martyrs of the revolution who sacrificed their lives in order to reach these days when we stand on these generous platforms to speak on behalf of women She also congratulated all the guests who attended the forum and followed the activities of the forum, women from all over the world. She also referred in her speech to the efforts made by the Women’s Protection Units and the sacrifices they made in the war against the terrorist organization ISIS, saying: “We are now standing in a city that has been liberated From ISIS terrorism, which I considered. The capital of the alleged caliphate. And in this city where many Yazidi women were liberated, we are proud to renew our pledge to support Yazidi women who have suffered from the oppression of ISIS.” In conclusion, she said: “All women must reach this level. Always the protector of her people and her country.” Then she pledged to assume all the responsibilities that must be assumed to defend all women and free them from oppression.
Then followed by several speeches by women’s organizations, councils and institutions in northern and eastern Syria. During the events, discussions advanced around four main axes, including: the genocide of women all over the world, especially in the Middle East, and one of the main axes was the genocide and resistance of Yazidi women. The last of which was the presentation of solutions and suggestions by women’s movements and organizations against all violations against women.
On this basis, eleven items of recommendations were reached to act accordingly.
At the end of the forum, the slogan “Long live the resistance of free women” was thrown.
