The Deir ez-Zor Military Council bid farewell to the heroic martyr, “Ronny Welat,” with solemn ceremonies.
The leader of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Luqman Khalil, mentioned in his speech, “The ceremonies were held in Deir ez-Zor because the people of the region consider him one of their righteous sons, and they embraced him. If we want to give a name to this march, we call it the ‘March of the Peoples,’ and we mourn our martyr. The truth of Comrade “Ronnie” extends over dozens of years, and the word does not do justice to his expression, if we wanted to give him a name, we would find nothing other than the name “Martyr of the Unity of Peoples” that befits him, but the idealization of him is evident through the security and stability we are experiencing. Today, our will and our existence are accepted, and our strength is reckoned with a thousand thanks to the sacrifices of martyrs like Comrade Ronnie.
