The people of the city of Qamishlo bid farewell to the body of the heroic martyr Roni Walat.
On Friday morning, December 8, 2023, thousands of people from Qamishlo bid farewell to the body of the leader “Roni Walat” in a solemn procession.His comrades carried him on their shoulders from the martyrs’ refrigerator to the shrine of the martyr Dalil Sarukhan, with patient,courageous hearts, they affirmed their commitment to follow his pure path for the freedom of our people. .
The ceremony began with a minute of silence for the souls of the martyrs. Several speeches were delivered. Among them is a speech delivered by Masoum Hassan on behalf of the Martyrs’ Families Council, where he said, “They can never break our will despite their targeting of our leading comrades like the martyr Ronnie. No one can obscure our sun. We will continue to follow in the footsteps of martyr Ronnie and his comrades.” He added: “We will become much stronger by working, resisting, and paying the price for the cause we believe in.We pledged to complete the path that our martyrs walked.”
Nouri Mahmoud, on behalf of the Military Council, also delivered a speech, saying:
“We will defeat them and cut off the dirty hands of those who try to occupy our land. Martyr Roni sacrificed his life for this land and cause.
Despite the enemy’s filth, we know well how to confront them. We do not remain as we are, instead, we become stronger, and the spirit of revenge grows larger within us.
We express our condolences to the martyr Ronnie, who fought with all his strength and was believed in by all regions and components.
The ceremony concluded with the Council of Martyrs’ Families handing over the certificate of martyrdom to the family of the heroic martyr, then his pure body was carried on the shoulders of his comrades-in-arms to be buried.
