The residents of Qamishli commemorated 166 martyrs for the months of December and January at the Martyr Delil Sarokhan Memorial,
with the presence of civilians and both civil and military institutions. The commemoration ceremony began with a minute of silence to honor the martyrs’ souls.
Sherin Ahmed, speaking on behalf of the Martyrs’ Families Council, expressed, “The martyrs are our moral leaders who sacrificed their lives for the homeland. We extend condolences to all martyr families and pledge to remain steadfast in the cause they entrusted us with. Shame and disgrace to the traitors.”
