Rngeen Tabqa says, “Women have proven their worth in all military and civilian fields.”

My name is Rnkeen Tabqa, and I am part of the Women’s Protection Units. On this day, we congratulate all women in the Middle East and around the world on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Women have become strong-willed and demand their freedom and rights, standing firmly against patriarchal mentalities to liberate themselves. When we speak of freedom, it is not in a narrow sense as seen in some societies. Freedom is the ability of women to exercise their rights with strong will and become leaders in all fields, advocating for and preserving all their rights and playing roles in military and civilian institutions, even taking their place in co-presidency. Today, women have proven their worth in all military and civilian fields, playing their roles on the front lines and defending their homeland and people within the Women’s Protection Units.
When we talk about Arab women, we are also talking about all women worldwide because Arab women can now liberate themselves, express themselves, and manage institutions within society. After the defeat of the terrorist darkness of ISIS, women can overcome many obstacles within society. Thanks to the enlightened thought of Abdullah Ocalan and the martyr comrades who have become role models for us, like the martyr Rojbin Arab, an Arab companion whose name is now engraved in history’s valuable pages. Many military institutions and centers are named after her today. We take pride in these achievements and the values of our martyrs. Arab women in society were once bound by many outdated customs and traditions, but over the years, women have evolved and overcome these influences. Now, women can wear military uniforms and head to the front lines to fight the enemy, expressing their opinions freely in all environments.

“We will continue to resist and fight for the values of the revolution, our martyrs, and comrades, and we congratulate once again the women of North and East Syria and all women worldwide on the occasion of International Women’s Day.”
