The fighters in the YPJ have spoken out about the international conspiracy against the leader Abdullah Ocalan, stating, ‘The conspiracy managed to imprison the leader physically, but it couldn’t imprison his will and free thought.’

Slava Rojava, a fighter in the Women’s Protection Units, talked about the international conspiracy against Abdullah Ocalan, saying, ‘I underwent several training courses, learned from the leader’s ideology, and witnessed many clips that influenced me. Those countries violated human rights with that conspiracy because the leader’s ideology called for freedom, especially women’s freedom. It’s been 3 years, and the leader is living under strict isolation; we know nothing about him, they don’t even allow lawyers to meet him, so we can ensure his well-being and know about his news. True, he was sentenced to life imprisonment, but that doesn’t give them the right to cut off his communication with his lawyer, family, and the outside world. He’s spent 25 years in a very small room, indeed, if it were someone else, they wouldn’t have been able to withstand that pressure, but the leader has great patience.’
She also emphasized, ‘We will remain with the leader until the end, and we will fight for him. Our revolution started with the youth, and it will triumph with them. We have faced many difficulties, but we will keep watching the enemy.’
Avesta Judy, another fighter in the Women’s Protection Units, spoke about the conspiracy, saying, ‘It’s been 25 years, and the leader’s captivity conditions are extremely difficult, and we have known nothing about his situation for almost 3 years. However, he has left us with an ideology and philosophy that have spread worldwide, to the extent that all people have been influenced by his ideology and have started rushing to join and learn about this ideology and philosophy.’
She continued, ‘The leader’s ideology granted freedom to women and pulled them out of the abyss of oppression and weakness they were living in, making them stronger and aware of their value. They learned how to defend themselves and their land.’

She concluded, ‘As Women’s Protection Units, we must be united and defend our people, our homeland, and the blood of our martyrs.’
