With the arrival of the new year, dozens of members of the Internal Security Forces continue to carry out daily patrols across the streets of Al-Hasakah, as part of ongoing shifts aimed at protecting neighborhoods and strengthening security and stability throughout the city.
“We are a people who defend ourselves and protect ourselves.”
Every day, women members of the Internal Security Forces from both Arab and Kurdish components take to the streets of Al-Hasakah to protect the area from any potential threats. They establish checkpoints on main roads across all neighborhoods and carry out information-gathering efforts as a preventive and precautionary measure to safeguard the security of the region.
Rojin Ali, an administrator within the Internal Security Forces, stated:
“As the Internal Security Forces, we condemn the attack carried out against the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh by the transitional government. We affirm that, as women, we will not allow the enemy to destroy our land or occupy it, regardless of the cost. Today, we stand in our neighborhoods to defend ourselves and our homeland with full determination, because we are a people who defend themselves and protect themselves.”
Kalthouma Ahmad, a member of the Internal Security Forces, also stated:
“Aleppo is not alone. We stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh. We are fully prepared to respond to all attacks targeting our areas. Let the enemy know that we, the Kurds, together with all components that stand with us, will not remain silent in the face of fascist aggression, as we firmly believe that our path is the path of victory.”
She concluded by saying:
“Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, Assyrians, and Armenians — all components — will stand hand in hand to expel the occupation from our regions.”
Security patrols continue day and night across all neighborhoods to ensure safety and maintain stability in the area.
