Zenarîn Qamishlo: All Kurds of Honor and Dignity Must Respond to the Call for General Mobilization

Zenarîn Qamishlo, a commander in the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), stated that a fierce attack is being waged against the solidarity of the peoples of the region. She called on all Kurdish youth across the four parts of Kurdistan, and all Kurds with honor and dignity, to respond to the call for general mobilization.
Qamishlo explained that the peoples of the region have lived together in peace, determination, and faith for fourteen years, stressing that the attack on this coexistence began in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods of Aleppo before spreading across Rojava Kurdistan.
She added that what is happening is an attempt to undermine the solidarity of peoples and the Democratic Nation project, and to create strife between Kurds and Arabs by fueling nationalist sentiment.
Zenarîn Qamishlo: No One Should Be Misled by the Special War Waged Through Arab Media
Zenarîn Qamishlo pointed out that a special war is being waged through social media and certain Arab media outlets, saying:
“Some media channels such as Al Arabiya, Al Hadath, and Al Jazeera are playing a dangerous role in this special war at the highest levels. No one should pay attention to these campaigns — today we are in urgent need of unity.”
Zenarîn Qamishlo: Arabs Are a Fundamental Part of the Syrian Democratic Forces
She confirmed that claims about the absence of the Arab component within the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are false, stating:
“Those who say that Arab components are no longer present in the SDF are mistaken. Today, Kurdish and Arab youth stand together on the front lines. Therefore, our societies should not be drawn into these attempts to sow discord.”
Zenarîn Qamishlo also addressed Kurdish and Arab leaders and religious authorities, asking:
“Is it permissible in Islam to kill a fellow Muslim or occupy his land? This has no connection to truth or religion.”
Zenarîn Qamishlo: In Islam, Women Are Granted the Highest Degree of Respect
She spoke about the violations committed against women, stressing that Islam grants women the highest level of respect. She continued:
“In Islam, it is said that Paradise lies beneath the feet of mothers. Yet today we see nationalists hiding behind the name of Islam to justify violence against Kurdish women and their displacement from their homes — something that is not found in any religious text.”
Zenarîn Qamishlo: Through the Solidarity of Peoples, the Democratic Nation System Will Be Built
In conclusion, YPJ commander Zenarîn Qamishlo called on sheikhs and believers to hold fast to the true essence of Islam, affirming that this special war will not succeed in breaking the will of the peoples. She said:
“We must take to the squares and defend the achievements of the Rojava Revolution and the Democratic Nation project. Through the solidarity of peoples, the Democratic Nation system will be established.”
