The city of Kobani witnessed solemn funeral ceremonies for 12 martyrs, during which the memory of these heroes who sacrificed their lives in defense of the homeland was honored. Comrade Parvin Zagros, a member of the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), delivered a moving speech during the ceremony, offering condolences to the mothers of the martyrs and stressing that they should hold their heads high in pride for the sacrifices of their sons.
The attendees then observed a minute of silence in tribute to their memory. In her speech, Comrade Parvin Zagros affirmed that the enemy will not be able to break the will of the people, and that the martyrs will remain alive in the hearts and memories of the people. At the conclusion of the ceremony, chants echoed affirming that martyrs never die. Afterwards, the bodies were carried in an orderly manner, reflecting the unity and cohesion of the community in the face of challenges.
