The Turkish occupation state continues its attacks on northern and eastern Syria amid international silence:
” said Roxan Mohammad, the official spokesperson for the Women’s Protection Units, in a statement regarding the recent attacks by the Turkish occupation state on areas in northern and eastern Syria. She expressed concern about the targeting of vital infrastructure, leading to the deprivation of electricity, water, food centers, and hospitals in many areas. The attacks have also resulted in human casualties, injuring civilians, including children, women, and the elderly.The Turkish state rejects the project of democratic nation and the achievements realized under the Rojava revolution. It cannot tolerate the people’s support for self-administration with all its components. Therefore, it persists in its hostility, undermining the security and stability of the entire region. The Turkish occupation state aims to push the people to resort, facilitating the implementation of its project based on demographic change, a strategy it has been pursuing since its occupation of Serekaniye, Tel Abyad, and especially Afrin.”
“It is crucial for everyone to understand that the revolution achieved here is targeted by the Turkish occupation state to undermine these gains and dismantle the interconnected fabric of the people with all their components. The Turkish occupation state is actively seeking to revive Ottoman ambitions through the expansion of its occupation to all of Syria.”Everyone is aware that these attacks amount to war crimes, yet occurring amid international silence encourages the Turkish occupation state to persist in committing more without legal or ethical restraint. We do not expect protection from anyone, but international silence and the forces present in the region only embolden the Turkish state further. Therefore, we urge our friends everywhere to rally around the resistance of the people in northern and eastern Syria and embrace the values and gains of the revolution.”We declare that we will protect the resistance of our people with all our strength, and we have preparations at the highest levels. Just as we fought against the formidable terrorist organization like ISIS, which posed a significant threat to the world, we remain steadfast in defending our land and people.”We can respond to the attacks of the Turkish occupation state and avenge our martyrs and people equally. Despite clear facts before the eyes of the world, the Turkish state attempts to deceive its people, as it did before, and seeks to obscure its heinous crimes by fabricating lies and baseless pretexts. However, our people possess a great will, belief, and have drawn significant lessons from history. They have gained spiritual strength from prison resistances and the revolution for freedom. The people will counter these attacks with their honorable resistance, holding onto their land and homeland, and will never cease their struggle.”
