
Hundreds of residents in the city of Hasakah participated in the solemn funeral procession of the martyr Zozan Hasakah.
Today, hundreds of residents in the city of Hasakah participated in the funeral procession of the leader in the Women’s Protection Units, Zozan Hasakah, who was martyred on April 2, 2024, at the Martyr Dijwar Shrine in Hasakah. The procession was attended by councils, military and civilian institutions, the self-administration, and the Martyrs’ Families Council. Military ceremonies began with a minute of silence in reverence for the souls of the martyrs. In commemoration of the martyr Zozan, the General Command of the Women’s Protection Units, represented by Rohlat Afrin, delivered a speech, stating: “Comrade Zozan was known for her unparalleled effort and sacrifice in her revolutionary journey. She became a leader in many arenas of resistance and victory, avenging the enemy with her Apoist spirit.” The General Command of the Women’s Protection Units, represented by Rohlat Afrin, reaffirmed the pioneering role of the martyr Zozan Hasakah and her deep ideology, saying: “Comrade martyr Zozan was molded by the life of freedom and nurtured by the philosophy of Leader APO, becoming steadfast on the path of truth. In conclusion, the General Command of the Women’s Protection Units emphasized the continuation of the resistance struggle in the line of the martyrs, saying: “We, as comrades of martyr Zozan, are indebted to the efforts and sustained struggle of our martyrs. Based on this, we will continue to pursue the cause and march of our martyrs until victory.”
Additionally, a representative of Kongra Star Lalshin Bervin spoke about the long legacy of the family in the freedom revolution, stating: “Our comrade Zozan today embraces the legacy of her family, known for many martyrs within the ranks of the revolution. Comrade Zozan has taken her place in many liberation campaigns that ended in victory. Today, mercenaries and war brokers are forming alliances and bargaining over the blood of our martyrs, and we will continue to protect and defend the path of our martyrs to stand against them. Martyrdom does not weaken us; rather, it strengthens our determination and advances us.”
At the end of the ceremony, the martyr’s document was read and handed over to her family. Under the slogan “No life without the leader, martyrs never die,” the body of the martyr Zozan was carried on the shoulders of the people and her comrades to be laid to rest.
