

A meeting was held between the Women’s Protection Units, the Syrian Democratic Forces, and the U.S. Ambassador on the March 10 Agreement
Rohilat Afrin, Commander of the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), and Mazloum Abdi, General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), received today the U.S. Ambassador to Turkey and Special Envoy to Syria, Tom Barrack, together with Admiral Brad Cooper, Commander of the United States Central Command, who headed a U.S. delegation from the International Coalition.
The meeting was also attended by Ilham Ahmed, Co-Chair of the Department of Foreign Relations, Ahmad al-Mahbash, President of the Syrian Future Party, and Ghassan al-Yousef, Deputy Chair of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC).
Discussions focused on practical steps to accelerate the implementation of the March 10 Agreement signed between the Transitional Government and the SDF leadership. The agreement is expected to contribute to lifting sanctions on Syria, creating a safe environment for investment and development, and ensuring suitable conditions for the return of displaced people to their areas.
During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to the ongoing partnership between the International Coalition and the Syrian Democratic Forces in the fight against ISIS, as well as to strengthening efforts aimed at promoting stability and security in the region, in a way that guarantees the unity of Syrian territory.
