To Our People and the General Public

The Freedom Revolution inspires courageous hearts to defend our great social values. We are waging an unparalleled struggle to achieve a dignified and free life. The fighters of the Women’s Protection Units have embodied the true standards of a noble life through the heroic epics they write each day with immense sacrifices.
Our comrade, Shirin Fattah, known by her nom de guerre “Kirela Qamishlo,” was born in the city of Hasakah to a patriotic family. The Freedom Revolution has given birth to a generation driven by aspirations and the ideals of a free life. For this reason, women and youth have been struggling with tremendous effort and sacrifice within the ranks of the revolution.
Our comrade Kirela joined the Women’s Protection Units in 2021 with strong determination. Her deep connection and affection for Leader Apo played a decisive role in her decision to join the struggle for freedom.
Despite her young age, she set aside the concept of time and, in a short period, developed herself both militarily and intellectually. She lived every moment of her life with humility and sacrifice, as a devoted Apoist fighter. She was known among her comrades for her enthusiasm and love of life. As a warrior, she specialized in the strategy of warfare and played a significant role as a skilled sniper. She always upheld a strong sense of responsibility to protect the achievements of the revolution.
Our brave comrade Kirela Qamishlo was martyred in an incident in the city of Tel Rifaat on 20/03/2024 while carrying out her duty.
First and foremost, we extend our deepest condolences to the family of our comrade Kirela and to all of our patriotic people. As the Women’s Protection Units, we affirm that we will always walk in the path of our martyrs and renew our vow to escalate and revitalize the struggle for freedom.
