On October 9, the exhibition “Women Between Wars” was inaugurated at the renowned Palau Robert in the heart of Barcelona. The exhibition highlights the stories of women in Rojava and northeastern Syria, their experiences in confronting war, and their role in rebuilding peace and society.
The exhibition particularly showcases the struggle of the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) and their role in resisting terrorism and defending freedom and equality, alongside the civil efforts of women in reconstructing life after war.
It is presented as a visual and human journey narrating women’s struggles amid conflicts, and how they contributed to restoring life and bringing hope back to their communities.
The exhibition is scheduled to later travel to other cities in Spain as well as several countries around the world.
Visitors can attend the exhibition until November 30 at Palau Robert – Barcelona.
